Please excuse spelling and grammar mistakes...

I was looking at my "Gallery" earlier, when I noticed something. Although my family and friends have told me how my art has progressed so much over the last few months, I couldn't tell. But looking today, I realized that that change has just occurred over the summer. I have always been an okay artist, and my style hasn't changed in the slightest, but look at my gallery. My art went through obvious phases. There was the sick, scary, "Blood and Gore" phase, which, honestly, I'm not proud of. I wanted to be "scary" back then, which in retrospect, was stupid. I tore pages and pages out of my sketchbooks, because I refused to use pencil first and I would only use black and red sharpies. After that, I didn't post any art for a while; I was extremely uncomfortable with my work. I didn't think I was any good. Look at my firs self portrait; I didn't even want to show my whole face or body. I posted no art at all for a long time, until that stupid pastel drawing (I can't use those things). My first jump was drawing a self portrait of me for my tenth grade school application form (strange, I know). I actually drew a full body picture. When I showed it to my friends and family, they all wanted one! (I have more than the three I posted) That really made me realize, "Hey, I can draw people!" After that, I had kind of a brain fart and reverted solely to coloring books. Re inspired by that, I drew three drawings that really made me WANT to draw again. I posted drawings almost every weekend from there until now, and I believe that I have gotten better and better.
